i don’t think the day itself is stupid. celebrating love is a good thing, but i hate that cooperations use valentines day to sway people into buying extremely wasteful gifts like balloons and plastic flowers. maybe i’m too practical but i hate seeing people throw aways their gifts after like 1 week. We really don’t have any other major holidays between Christmas/New Year’s and Easter (yes St Patrick’s Day but you don’t really buy gifts/candy as much for that) I think it's stupid to have one day focused on showing love, when you could do that every single day.
