Hello Reddit! I have been doing food delivery for 2 years and since today is valentine's I was thinking of how to maybe brighten up people's day's and get some extra tips. Do you guys have any special ideas for valentine's? I was thinking of buying alot of tulip's 🌷 and hand them out to every woman that receives a order. LPT: if you want crappy food, crappy service, and crazy crowds at restaurants, book your Valentine's dinner now. I don't care how good the restaurant is at other times of the year, on Valentine's Day, it will just be subpar. Wow your date by making food at home or ordering a pizza and make it just the two of you. If your delivery location is in the US, my favorite way to get my partner cute things without a super steep price is Whole Foods delivery :D They have flowers, candy, etc. And 2 hour delivery, only downside is you can't include a note or card since it's "grocery delivery", but I watch until it's delivered and then shoot a quick text so he knows My wife made me a box containing 52 dates. I've had mixed success with Costco's floral wholesale delivery. Without fail, it's a quality product- flowers are shipped within 2 days of the delivery window and once properly processed (flowers stems cut, put in warm water with the floral preservative and allowed to rehydrated) they do well. Im an at home small floral business/llc on the side and I usually take order requests for birthdays/special occasions (bouquets and arrangements) and don’t do any events or weddings but I was thinking of taking maybe a few orders for valentine’s day 2025- possibly 5-10 orders for bouquets as i’m not quite sure how many people are willing to place an order with me. For years, we went to nice Hoboken restaurants on Valentine’s Day. It’s always the same: the kitchen is overloaded, delays, stress, lots of pressure on the front and back of house and ultimately the food and experience isn’t worth the price. In my humble opinion, go out on the 15th and cook an amazing dish on actual Valentine’s Day. Delivery of Valentine’s Day flowers were delayed. Costco proactively reached out to apologize, refund, and credit me $20. This level of customer service is unmatched. Sandwiches from Milano Market on 112th and watching a bunch of Star Trek.
