I see two main reasons as to why people hate Valentine's Day. 1.It is overcomercialized 2.The person in question is single Let's start with the first reason. Well I hate to break it to you but every holiday is overcomercialized. Every single one of them. Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that you either love or hate. Well, I’m here to proclaim — and yell from the rooftops — that I despise Valentine’s Day. I shared this information with a Read more » Here’s how many of us hate Valentine’s Day. My hate for all things cupid-related isn’t uncommon, either. In 2017, Elite Daily surveyed 415 men and women, ages 18 to 35, and found that 28 percent of women and 16 percent of men “think Valentine’s Day is an excuse for people to humble brag about their relationships.” The same survey I just dont like Valentine’s Day. All the People I know say the exact stuff you list in this post because “I’m single and I hate valentines day because I don’t have a hot girlfriend.” For me I just feel sad and lonely. I do, too—at least, in the traditional, romantic sense. I said "No. They're for ME for Valentine's Day. You're always going on about how much you hate it, so this year I didn't bother." I ate all of the chocolate myself. 3 days later I got potted tulips (his favorite flower), and a note that said "Sorry I forgot about Valentine's Day". I let the the tulips die. I absolutely despise holidays but valentines is my jam, pink and red everywhere, more chocolate then ever, a day simply about how your so feels and how you want to show your affection and appreciation for them and even tho it’s kinda pricy it’s nothing like Christmas and it’s a romantic day where nobody judges you if you decide to be Me too.
