Painwheel (JP: ペインホイール Peinhoīru) was once a school girl named Carol (JP: キャロル Kyaroru) before she was kidnapped and transformed into her current form by Valentine and Brain Drain. You're still not ready, Painwheel but maybe some day you won't be totally useless. Painwheel: Don't patronize me, Valentine! I WILL get stronger and I WILL destroy you! Valentine: It's too late for that -- I'll have to take care of this myself. Valentine: And if I can't, come find me and we'll try again. And again. Until you finally succeed Valerie (JP: ヴァレリー Varerī), code name Valentine (JP: ヴァレンタイン Varentain), is the last surviving member of the Last Hope and is now working with Double and Marie, the current Skullgirl. She was responsible for Painwheel 's transformation under the direction of Brain Drain. Valentine and Painwheel at least have interacted with each other, even if the latter hates the former as well as having an age gap and a minor involved. Currently, Valentine plays the role of faithfully serving the Skullgirls and practicing her will from the shadow, now serving Double and Marie. It is she who is responsible for turning Painwheel into a monster with Brain Drain. She was voiced by Laura Post in English and Asami Imai in Japanese. This routine is interrupted by a blast from Filia's past; her old friend Carol, now transformed into an anti-Skullgirl weapon called Painwheel. After a fight with Ms. Fortune, Filia runs into Painwheel again in the Grand Cathedral, where she's confronting one of her abductors, Valentine. Painwheel, an ordinary schoolgirl named Carol, was kidnapped by Valentine one day and taken to Research Institute 0, a secret affiliate of the Anti-Skull Girl Research Institute. There, Carol is implanted with her artificial parasites, Buer Drive and Gebulg, and she is injected with Skull Girl's blood, transforming her into the monster she is now. Good for the bronze/water nodes on Fishbone Master. Can do high combos with Ms Fortune Headless, Valentine Vial Hazard, and Painwheel Gae Bolga Stinger. Twisted Mettle also covers the 1 Painwheel Only bronze node, but its not hard so you could probably do that node just by upgradinging the skill tree without using keys on either bronze Painwheel. Carol wakes up in Lab Zero where Valentine runs her through some tests and makes her mad. She goes on to explain that she is built to destroy the Skullgirl, but all Carol cares about is going back home, which Val promises she can go back after her mission is over.
