Anyone with a holiday birthday knows that it can be tough and weird at times, but when all is said and done, having a Valentine’s birthday is pretty cool. Even if it requires a little extra planning, you can still enjoy your Valentine’s birthday (or just Valentine’s Day in general), regardless of whether or not you have a special someone! I myself have a birthday on the day of love. Now, after 22 birthdays, my one piece of advice is this: try to avoid being born on Valentine’s Day. The two don’t mesh well. In case you’re not convinced yet, I’ve compiled a list of pros and cons for your consideration. For example, at Richard Montgomery High School, Fine Lines, a literary arts magazine, hosted a Valentine’s Day Rose sale to raise funds for the upcoming magazine. As a result of the massive hype around Valentine’s Day, they have amassed over 1000 dollars for their cause from their Valentine’s Day Rose sale alone. Valentine’s Day has been a special day where people are able to show their love to one another for many years. Everyday lives can get hectic and it’s easy to not prioritize time with loved ones. But on Feb. 14, spending time with loved ones is the number one priority while showing affection towards one another. I like Valentine's Day because I can give my friends candy and stuffed animals, while I get the same in return. But, that's just my opinion. It's supposed to be November 8 - the date that no American can escape from hearing. Basically every single day we are reminded of that day, what's happening on it and and why it's so important.
