One of the highlights of the collegiate experience, formal dinner in hall, known as formal hall, is usually served at 8.00pm during term time and 7.30pm outside of term time. Some of the formal dinners are specifically set aside for postdocs to attend, and these are advertised to the postdoc society mailing list. Members enjoy a comfortable meeting space with tea and coffee in the Deighton Room, privileges at Trinity, including use of the bar, cafeteria, and College punts, and a full calendar of events throughout the year, at the centre of which are regular Society Formal Dinners. Have you ever wanted to go to Trinity college for a Formal Dinner? If yes, here's your chance! In January 2017, Trinity College Cambridge set up its Postdoctoral Society. Its purpose is to offer a collegiate environment in which postdoctoral researchers from different disciplines can meet and conduct intellectual, cultural and social activities. The Trinity Postdoctoral Society of Cambridge is happy to invite postdocs from the university through the PdOC society to its monthly formal dinner on 10th July. There will be a pre-formal reception from 6.45 PM at Neville's Court. (Cloisters), followed by the formal dinner 7.30-9.30 PM in the main. hall.
