This post shares 15 hands-on, developmentally appropriate, and engaging Valentine-themed activities for toddlers by a former kindergarten and preschool teacher and mom of three. Activities include easy sensory play ideas, fun and simple crafts, color matching games, fine motor activities, and even a gross motor activity. <<Grab this Valentine’s Day dramatic play center>> Valentine’s Day Writing Center (Centre) One of the things I love about this pack is all of the fun writing printables. The kids can write letters, postcards and Valentine’s day cards. The signs include both American and Australian spelling (center and centre). Valentine’s Day cakes and cookies: Let your kids bake special cup cakes and cookies on Valentine’s Day. Don’t get amazed as it will be just an exercise with putty cut outs and baking trays. Provide them other non-breakable items and ingredients. They will really enjoy making these cup cakes and cookies for the dear ones. They pick a letter card, identify the letter, build it by finding the letter manipulative, and write it at the bottom. Beginning sounds with a Valentine’s Day twist. Students match the stamp (sound) with the corresponding envelope (letter). Make a Valentine’s Day themed writing tray using salt and sprinkles. Students will want to write letters!
