I feel bad for Andrew having lost his way so severely that he's sort of destroyed everything for himself -- but I also feel bad for Missy. Not only did she have her Valentine's Day utterly ruined through no fault of her own, but we know that she still had a thing for Andrew (rightly or wrongly) up to the point where Andrew went berserk. The Missy situation is basic friend code. You DON’T DATE YOUR FRIEND’S EX. Yeah, Andrew shouldn’t have done many things when it came to Missy, but he gave Nick a shot at fessing up and was mainly upset because he was lied to. His sense of ownership over Missy just further plays into his incel/misogynistic nature. Imaginary Love Triangle: Andrew thinks that his crush, Missy likes Lars and vice-versa, when in reality the two are just friends. It gets to the point where Andrew's growing jealously towards Lars and possessiveness towards Missy causes Andrew to attack the former, while pushing away the latter from Andrew. On Andrew and Missy's first date, they go with Missy's parents to a museum. Andrew holds her hand and the two talk about science facts the entire time until he is interrupted by his Hormone Monster. Andrew ignores him and they just enjoy their date while they can be alone with one another.
